About me
I am María Rojo Paredes, architect and director of singular projects.
My professional career is framed within the architecture of author in the international market in Ateliers Jean Nouvel Madrid and Humboldt Arquitectos.
Since 2006, when I joined the Ateliers Jean Nouvel team in Paris as an architect, I have developed large-scale international projects in Spain, France, Morocco, Peru and Ecuador, from the conceptualization phase to the construction management of different typologies: residential, offices, hotels, museums, mixed-use complexes…

I was born in Talavera de la Reina,
the city of ceramics.
Creativity and imagination are qualities that I developed since my earliest childhood in Talavera de la Reina (its pottery is today Intangible Heritage of Humanity).
Being creative and decisive has allowed me to adapt well to all the situations that arise when you have to lead multidisciplinary and multicultural teams.
I graduated from the Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Madrid (Universidad Politécnica de Madrid).
Technical training that I complemented with a postgraduate course of the Real Estate Area of the Architects Association of Madrid and another of business development of the Chamber of Commerce of Madrid.
As a member of the association WIRES (Women In Real Estate Spain) I have organized and participated in round tables, cycles and other events to increase the visibility of women in the real estate sector and to improve and promote their professional careers in this sector.
I am also a member of the Culture and Sports Committee of the CEOE.
I believe that we can all contribute a lot to society with our experience and I have the firm objective of giving back to life everything it has given me.
I was born in Talavera de la Reina, the city of ceramics.

design from the large scale of a building, to the small scale of a piece of furniture, to interior design.
I am committed to design as an element of value to generate positive emotions in people.
Living and working in different cultural environments such as Talavera de la Reina, Madrid, Paris, Lima and Quito have contributed to broaden my vision as an architect and creator.

My source of inspiration are the pioneering women travelers of the late 19th century, who challenged the norms and customs of the time and embarked on unusual and inspiring journeys

I design tailor-made trips to discover new architectures and unique and exciting destinations.
Travel is adventure, it is launching yourself to experience new things, it is dreaming of new challenges and reaching your goals.
Traveling is one of my great hobbies.

I am very passionate about art and contemporary architecture and as an architect I feel the obligation to disseminate and bring these arts closer to society.
In my guided tours I try to awaken people’s curiosity and make them look at their surroundings with the eyes of a discoverer so that they are able to unveil the sensations that seeing a work of art or experiencing a new space produces in them.
I love discovering new talents, so I encourage and support young designers and artisans.
I try to give them visibility by organizing exhibitions, conferences and selecting some of their pieces for different projects, such as the first season of the documentary series Tocad@s, where I was in charge of the art direction.
